The new Lord St has caused massive problems for our local wildlife, in particular the kangaroo population. Kangaroos are crossing the busy four lane road and large numbers are being hit by cars, left to die agonising deaths. As many as nine kangaroos per night are being killed, the majority require shooting due to their extensive injuries. We need kangaroo caution signs, street lighting and both sides of the road fenced, with the Whiteman Park side a priority. While devastating from a humane perspective, it is only a matter of time before someone is seriously injured or killed.
