reconsider a rejection for central park speedway revised start times
The Issue
to keep speedway in Kent and allow elite league status, which would generate an increase in visitors to Sittingbourne during the speedway season. the objections raised concerned the level of noise generated at the meetings, however each race lasts only one minute, there are approximatly 20 heats of one minute duration added to pit warm up and too and from track approx adds up to a total of 40/45 minutes of noise during the meeting. speedway is a family orientated sport giving huge pleasure and excitement and the present start time of 18.30hrs to 20.30 hrs prevents many supporters from other areas from attending. by allowing the new start time of 1900/15 to 2100/15 would encourage those deprived of attending to be able to support Kent Kings. The later start time would also involve liveTV coverage at certain meetings during the season. If you support this petition please enter your postcode
