At Life After Justice, we are excited to begin our new partnership with Chicago Beyond who works to ensure all young people have the opportunity to live a free and full life. Our multi-year partnership will provide more resources to exonerate innocent people, increase access to holistic mental health care for exonerees, and advance work to transform the criminal legal system.
Last year, Chicago Beyond became our first institutional funder when we received an unrestricted investment through their Rapid Response Fund. The partnership provided exonerees access to therapy for mental and emotional healing and cell phones and laptops to pursue job opportunities and connect with friends and family.
✨️Currently we are leading the Clemency Petition of Terrence Richardson and Ferrone Claiborne. We request President Joe Biden to grant clemency to these two Black men who have been wrongfully incarcerated for over 20 years in Virginia.
