Suspension Lifted-

The loadshedding suspension as per this petition has been lifted, and normal loadshedding schedules will resume as of tomorrow. During this period where loadshedding was suspended, the entire Ethekweni municipality had been on an illegal strike, resulting in further damage to an already devastated infrastructure. 

Should loadshedding resume as normal our power will realistically be out after 2 or  3 days of loadshedding, and turnaround time for repairs is very very slow. 

We need more support by way of signatures to protect our fragile infrastructure from further damage. Please share this petition with everyone you can. You don’t have to live in the village or even in the country to show your support for us, and to effect change. 

Long term power outages as a result of persistent loadshedding leads to no running water, raw sewage running into our streets and the ocean, not to mention wasted food and the inability for those that work remotely to do so. It affects cellular and wifi signal assist well as many other services that most people take for granted. 

This petition has had close to 6000 views but less than 10% of those people signed.
