We need your help to raise £30,000 to Fight an appeal by UK Oil & Gas to stop them exploring for more fossil fuels in the Weald Basin during a time of Climate Emergency

The Village of Dunsfold is about to become the next casualty of the shale gas industry... but not without a fight.

Since 2019, together with our local community, my family and I have been fighting a planning application by a subsidiary of UK Oil & Gas (UKOG) who intend to construct an exploratory well site in search of more fossil fuels in the heart of the Surrey countryside, despite the fact that our local councils and Government have declared a Climate Emergency.

Last year, I created this petition to show the council how unwanted this exploration of fossil fuels is. After 2 committee meetings last year, which refused to grant permission for the project, UKOG are appealing the decision which will be heard in July.  

In order to help object to this application, it has required the support of numerous professional planning and legal consultants and more expert advice will now be required to fight this Appeal.
