Hi everyone

Thank you so much for signing the petition to Save Lyne Recycling Centre. I am overwhelmed by the amount of support to keep the Centre open - the petition is now at over 7700.

I have had a busy week trying to promote the petition as well as fighting the cause to keep the Centre open.  On Monday I attended the joint Runnymede/Surrey County Council meeting and had good support from some of the borough councillors. On Thursday I was interviewed by BBC Radio Surrey who were doing a slot on Recycling Centres across Surrey in their breakfast show.

This has been a busy week but the next stage is to present the petition, and the arguments for keeping the Centre open, to Surrey CC Cabinet Committee on 29th January.  The petition needs to get to 10 000 so that they will automatically include it as an agenda item.  

If you can share with friends and family as much as possible then this would really.
