Ticket cancellation policies across airlines in India are skewed towards the airlines, with cancellation fees being charged per person on a ticket, with cases where the cancellation charges might be over and above the price of the ticket itself.

This is causing a huge impact on how in an emergency, the tickets can't be cancelled appropriately. The passengers across all sectors are being looted left, right and centre, making airline travel prohibitively expensive.

Airlines are making killing profits on the cancellation fees alone if a proper study is made.

I request Shri Suresh Prabhakar to act, make the cancellation fee 25% to 50% of the ticket fee depending on the number of days/hours before which the cancellation is made. This will help in this unnecessary wastage of citizens money.
