First Working Group public meeting - 18 May at 6pm

The Consultative Immigration Reform Working Group will hold its first public meeting on Thursday between 6pm and 8pm at the Bermuda Public Services Union headquarters. We strongly encourage supporters of Pathways to show up and demonstrate their support. There is strength in numbers. The more supporters in the room, the more likely others will be to stand up and share their stories and support for the legislation. Unfortunately, the Working Group appears to be kicking the can down the road. They've opted to submit their first report a month late and in reference to adoption, which, while important, is not urgent; adopted children of Bermudians are themselves deemed to possess Bermuda status until the age of 22. So we would encourage all supporters to go and express their views.
