"Pathways" withdrawn / Let's redouble our efforts!

By now, many of you will have heard or read about Government’s withdrawal of the “Pathways” Bill following negotiations to bring Bermuda’s recent standstill to an end. This is obviously a disappointment for supporters of the proposal. Nonetheless, we can imagine that Government came under intense pressure to get public services up and running again. We still have hope with the negotiated approach to deal with important parts of the legislation in stages. We will continue to monitor developments and to hold the Government and all community stakeholders accountable. Do not lose hope. This will also be an opportunity to improve the legislation. Perhaps with more stakeholder input, we will have more community buy-in. In the meantime, please keep writing your MPs and sharing your stories. And please keep sharing this petition so that we can continue to demonstrate the breadth and depth of support to all parliamentarians.
