A big thank you to all the wonderful people who have signed this petition - Your support has been amazing, but now we need some very specific action!

Those of us who live on either DEVONSHIRE ROAD, SOMERSET ROAD, CORNWALL ROAD, COLLEGE ROAD, WINDERMERE ROAD or SLACK LANE will have received a letter from Birmingham City Council in the last week or so. In it, you will see a more detailed version of the above proposal (pictured) and also an invitation to submit your thoughts on the proposal to the council.

It is imperative that you respond to this invitation.

The proposal is not a done deal - it will not happen unless you show your support for it. By signing this petition, you started to make change - now you need to help make that change happen!

I have purposefully not copied the letter here because it is important that only those who have received it respond to it. You can either fill in the paper form sent to you and return it to the given address, or email the given email address (which is preferred).

This proposal gives the marked area a 20 mph zone (which includes signs and road markings as well as speed humps) and makes Slack Lane one way, all helping our local roads to be safer, healthier and more quite.

It is now up to you to tell Birmingham City Council that you Support Traffic Calming, Pedestrian Safety and improved Air Quality in Handsworth Wood Ward.
