Happy start to spring! Although construction at White Stadium is already underway, opposition to the project remains persistent and continues trying to prevent progress from being made for our young people. Tomorrow we have another opportunity to show that there are many Boston residents who support moving forward.
If you are available, please consider joining the City Council hearing tomorrow to provide public comment in support of the White Stadium project. Even a short comment from residents makes a real difference.
-City Council Hearing on White Stadium: Monday 3/16 at 2:00 PM
-In person testimony: Boston City Hall, Council Chambers
-Virtual testimony: please email City Council Central Staff at karishma.chouhan@boston.gov to request to be added to the public comment list. Public testimony is expected to begin around 3:45 PM. You can watch the hearing here (https://www.boston.gov/departments/city-council/watch-boston-city-council-tv) until you are called or receive the link to join and testify. Testimony is first-come, first-serve and will rotate between in-person and virtual speakers.
As just one example of the opportunities coming from this partnership, have you seen the BPS All-Star Marching Band yet? They debuted yesterday and performed at Boston Legacy’s opening match and killed it! The students are fully supported and sponsored by BLFC for their dedication and artistry as one example of how the partnership is structured to invest in BPS students, local businesses, and local residents.
If you are interested in joining or want help preparing comments, please reach out to elizabeth.ann.santos@gmail.com — we need all the support we can get.
