We’d love to stop writing these emails. You know, the ones about Scott Morrison ignoring the climate crisis.

But, we really can’t ignore it when tragic climate impacts are unfolding all around us and our Prime Minister chooses to have tea with Donald Trump rather than attend the UN emergency climate summit with other world leaders to tackle this crisis.[1].

Join us on September 20 to demand real leadership to address the climate crisis.

This is a travesty. Scott Morrison is going to be in New York the same week as the emergency climate summit is happening there, but he doesn’t think the climate crisis is important enough for him to show up. Instead, he’ll be visiting climate destroyer #1 - Donald Trump.

Scott Morrison’s actions are so far from the leadership we need right now. Unprecedented fires are sweeping through QLD and NSW. The former NSW Fire and Rescue Commissioner Greg Mullins says the start to the 2019 bushfire season is the worst he has ever seen and it can not be ignored. [2]

Yet Scott Morrison is ignoring it. And we won’t stand for it.

See you on September 20 to show Scott Morrison that he’s on the wrong side of history.
