The BOP and State DOC's are still directing CO's to search prison rooms/cells even at the risk of infecting inmates. This is purely negligent. The officers come into the compound from the outside, bringing COVID-19 with them, and then touch pillows, blankets, hygiene products, cough and sneeze, etc. during searches. The BOP and DOC's have a duty of care not to infect inmates. That duty of care is being negligently ignored even though the potentially devastating result is obviously foreseeable. This negligence may end up being the mother of all tort lawsuits and the directors of the prison systems, down to the individual wardens, staff, and CO's will all be liable as defendants. Please send letters to President Trump and your respective governor DEMANDING this negligence stop immediately!!
