Miss Samantha Torres has actively engaged with the city on this topic, both through the MacDonald Avenue Taskforce and by presenting in front of city council. We are aware of the requests and the enthusiasm from the community.

There are several factors to take into account, including our current commitment and investment of over $3 million in developing three soccer fields—a project that’s been underway for the past two years. This is a significant investment for the city, and we are dedicated to seeing it through. Additionally, we have a broader plan to continue investing in permanent soccer fields throughout Richmond. My intention is to keep focusing resources and efforts on building lasting infrastructure that can support soccer and athletic activities for years to come.
