The Support the Humanities Center Team is happy and proud to report that the Tabb Committee and, in its footsteps, Dean Wendland has now decided to take the option of closure of the department off the table, having heard all arguments and after having carefully reviewed all relevant materials, letters of support, petitions, etc. We are deeply grateful to all those who have actively stood with us during this unfortunate episode and look forward to constructive conversations with the administration to forge a path forward. We are hopeful we will be able to follow up on helpful recommendations and begin the authorized search for new colleagues soon as well.
