The LA Times has revealed that complaints against judges are the highest ever. There is nearly one complaint filed for every California judge overseeing cases in the state. Yet the judge policing agency has failed to increase their investigation of judicial incompetence as such investigations show no more than a slap on the wrist to 1% of the judges where a complaint was filed. The American legal system relies, and is based, on competent and fair triers of fact; judges, referees, commissioners, pro tem and mediators. If the bench lacks integrity and policing, then the potential for 99% of Californians to receive unfair trials in civil, probate and custody cases, where no jury is present is more than a reality .
