On December 10, 2015 Judge Grilli either lied or admitted she lets her court staff break the law. Local rules in Santa Clara Family Court require only one setting per calendar call , a rule Grilli repeatedly ignores for her favored lawyers. Local Court watchers were present last week when Judge Grilli blamed these consent double settings on her court clerks. Either Grilli lied or the court staff has taken it on their own to violate local rules, violating due process and abusing public funds. If Grilli lied to cover her own misconduct , she should be fired. If court staff are taking it on their own to violate local rules and due process for any family law litigants , whoever told the staff to violate local rules should be fired.
