Thank you for supporting our petition! I wanted to inform you about the opportunity below which may be of interest to you.
Attend TUCT in Person or Virtually!
Patient-focused Events are During Non-working Hours
Join us November 5 – 7, 2023, to help make smell and taste testing universal. The conference with hybrid options will bring together patients, clinicians, and researchers for presentations and discussions about the benefits of testing. Opening and closing with patient-centered programs, the two days of talks and programs funded by the NIH and other sponsors will lay a foundation to enable participants to continue working together towards the goal of universal testing. Each session will be interactive with the opportunity to ask questions to the speakers.
Your participation will contribute to the body of knowledge on taste and smell screening which will inform a white paper (A white paper is a report or guide that informs readers concisely about a complex issue and presents the issuing body's philosophy on the matter. It is meant to help readers understand an issue, solve a problem, or make a decision.)
People who have experienced smell and taste dysfunction, family members, and caregivers should attend the conference to:
- Learn about established and new ways to measure taste and smell
- Discuss how routine smell and taste testing can impact lives
- Connect with other people with taste and smell disorders who are serving as lay advocates
- Meet the leading researchers, policymakers, and healthcare providers working on this urgent issue
The opening session on November 5th will be held virtually for all attendees. The in-person events on November 6 and 7 will be held at The Quorum, 3675 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA. There is a hybrid option for all in person programs.
