An update on our 3-Year-Old Kindergarten petition

First of all, a huge thank you to every single family who took the time to sign our petition and support us. We have now had more than 80 families sign, and it means so much to know that we are not alone in feeling that this program is something truly special.

We recently had the opportunity to meet with the Principal to discuss the decision to close the 3-Year-Old Kindergarten program. We were able to share our concerns, as well as the voices of the many families who signed the petition.

We were told that, due to the changes to the Victorian Government's kindergarten regulations and requirements coming into effect for 2027, continuing to offer 3-Year-Old Kindergarten would be very difficult for the College, particularly in terms of capacity, resources and the way the kindergarten programs will need to operate.

While we understand that the College has difficult decisions to make, this is still incredibly sad for our family.

Our two older children had the opportunity to attend the 3-Year-Old Kindergarten program at PVCC, and it was such a beautiful and enriching experience for them. ❤️ It was something we had always hoped our two younger children would experience as well. We had planned for them to follow the same pathway and become part of the PVCC community from those early years, just like their older siblings.

It is difficult to accept that something that has been such a positive and meaningful experience for our family may no longer be available to future families.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported us, shared the petition, encouraged us and taken the time to have their voice heard.
