Rodeo Code of Welfare Draft RELEASED

Kia ora everyone,
The public consultation period for the Rodeo Code of Animal Welfare is now open and will run for 8 weeks until the 9th of December.
This is the most important opportunity we have to have our say on how rodeo is regulated in New Zealand, and every voice from our membership counts.
Here's how we will support you through the process:
- Board review - Now the draft Code is released, the NZRCA Board will go through it in detail to identify the main points we need to address in our submissions.
- Member webinar - We will then hold a webinar to walk through the Code with you, so you understand the key points and where our submissions need to focus. Date and joining details will be sent out.
- Submission support - After the webinar, we will send you the information and resources you need to put together your own submission, so you can feel confident writing and lodging it.
You can find the Rodeo Code of Welfare draft using this link:

In the meantime, please keep an eye on your inbox and our social channels, and encourage your fellow competitors, volunteers, club members and rodeo fans to do the same. The more submissions from people who love this sport, the stronger our voice will be.
