I’m stoked to share a massive win for our campaign to bring Tesla’s Full Self-Driving (FSD) technology to Australian roads. Thom Drew, Tesla’s Country Director for Australia and New Zealand, has confirmed that there are no regulatory blockers for the release of FSD (Supervised) in Australia! This means the path is clear, and Tesla is in the final stages of validation, testing FSD on our roads to prepare for its public launch.

This is exactly what we’ve been pushing for. Tesla’s recent Sydney demo, navigating the Sydney Harbour Bridge, and their earlier Melbourne hook turn success, show FSD is ready for Australia’s unique driving conditions. They’re starting with HW4 (AI4) equipped vehicles, with HW3 vehicles to follow in phased releases. This aligns perfectly with our call to fast-track FSD (Supervised) as a Level 2+ system under existing guidelines.

Now, we excitedly await Tesla’s official launch of FSD in Australia, which will bring safer, smarter driving to our roads.
