Dear Sainsbury's, The Prime Minister has spoken of our situation so why are you STILL ignoring us? Link to The Independent "Theresa May issues plea to retailers over workers' wages following Sainsbury's contract row" https://www.independent.co.uk/news/business/news/theresa-may-sainsburys-employee-contracts-staff-wages-benefits-retailers-supermarkets-a8400861.html Even the Theresa May, who is no friend of working people, understands the importance of loyal staff and treating us fairly. “The Government believes that it is essential for employers to ensure that their reward packages are competitive, in order to retain and develop their staff. “This includes the payment of wages above the statutory minima and the provision of additional benefits where this is affordable.” The sheer audacity of the Sainsbury's spokesperson saying; “At present we have colleagues working side by side in stores every day, carrying out the same role but being paid different amounts and that's not fair." NO ITS NOT FAIR When Sainsbury's has consistently CHOSEN to give new starters fewer and fewer benefits, they engineered the present situation. The reason they done this is so they could rob the older workers whilst pretending to be the good guys. This is what I mean, please consider; in your own workplace if they were to start employing new starters on zero-hour contracts, then, after a while they tear up your contract and force you onto a zero-hour contract and have the cheek to say "it's fair" you would of been played. This will become common practice. NO ITS NOT FAIR NO TO SIGN OR RESIGN NO TO CUTTING OUR PAY AND TERMS & CONDITIONS #WORKWELLFORLESS Michelle X
