After months of deliberation, the City of Maple Ridge's Mayor and Council have announced the purchase of 21375 Lougheed Highway as a possible interim and eventually permanent location for Maple Ridge's new homeless shelter upon completion of the rezoning process and public consultation.  The temporary shelter located at 22239 Lougheed Highway is woefully inadequate to meet the needs of the homeless population in the community and the construction of a permanent shelter must commence as soon as possible in order to address those needs.  Please sign this petition in support of this first critical step by Mayor and Council to address this urgent need.  By signing this petition, you acknowledge that this petition will become a public document and all information contained in it will be publicly available.
