Thank you for supporting the petition in favor of rezoning the golf course. There is one week left for those who want to appeal the approval and keep the golf course as it is. That appeal will be filed and funded by the “Save the Golf Course” group, which is backed by the Pine Ridge Property Owners Association.
The PRPOA has already spent hundreds of thousands of our dollars on legal fees and continues to incur additional expenses. This appeal alone could cost tens of thousands more. We are also continuing to meet with attorneys to prepare for further action. It is still unclear how much has been spent over the past six months. The board has not provided transparency and appears to be using the upcoming town hall on finances as a cover.
This is only the beginning. The board has stated its real focus is on Amber Ridge. They have said directly that it is not about the golf course but about stopping Amber Ridge. They are preparing for a legal battle that will likely incur hundreds of thousands of additional dollars in legal fees.
I want to thank everyone who signed the petition and supports Pine Ridge United. I will begin sending regular updates. If you would like to receive those updates, please send an email to prinfo@dixdevelopments.com.
I am concerned that the PRPOA only shares information that fits its agenda. It does not offer residents a way to stay informed or provide input. I want to create a separate list of residents who wish to be informed and involved but are not currently offered this option.
We also have important elections coming up. There will be a PRPOA board election and a Board of County Commissioners election. Our voices must be heard. The current leadership does not speak for all Pine Ridge residents.
Along the way, I’ve made new friends and built great relationships with neighbors I might have never met otherwise. This has shown me how strong our community can be when we come together. Pine Ridge United isn’t just a group, it’s a growing network of residents who care deeply about where we live and how our voices are heard.
Thank you again for standing with us.
