Hello friends and neighbors,

We want to let you know about a few important events coming up! 

First, on Tuesday, October 8, the four candidates running for two seats on the Tiburon Town Council will face off during a forum moderated by the League of Women Voters and sponsored by The Ark newspaper. Come learn about the candidates’ stance on important issues, including parks and recreation!

The event will be held at Tiburon Town Hall. You can submit questions to: forum@thearknewspaper.com. Candidates will not get the questions in advance.

Second, on Thursday, October 24, the Tiburon Parks, Open Space & Trails Commission (POST) will have a special meeting to discuss the Parks + Recreation Master Plan. The commission is expected to vote on the plan that night, and the plan will then be put before the Town Council for a final vote and adoption. The Town Council is expected to review the final plan and issue a vote in November. We will keep you updated as we learn more!

Last off, election season is in full swing! We encourage everyone to learn about the issues and the candidates, and vote! A few key dates:

* Mail-in voting starts October 7.

* The voter registration deadline is October 21.

* Election day is on Tuesday, November 5.
