Friends,
Every so often, a document surfaces that changes the way we understand history. What I’m sharing with you today is one of those receipts.
In March 1980, a radical press outlet called ZODIAC News Service released files showing that the U.S. Army, Big Pharma contractors, and intelligence-linked firms spent the 1950s and 60s developing “exceptionally potent” cannabis-based chemical warfare agents.
That’s right: while veterans, patients, and ordinary citizens were being criminalized, the federal government was secretly weaponizing the very same plant it claimed was too dangerous for medical use. Dogs were subjected to cannabis-derivative experiments that left them incapacitated for 48 hours. Companies like Eli Lilly and Arthur D. Little were on contract to make synthetic, patentable cannabis analogs for “humane warfare.”
This isn’t conspiracy theory—it’s documented history. And it connects directly to why people like Robert Randall had to fight for access to medical cannabis in the courts, why so many veterans today are denied care, and why federal agencies continue to block the plant while promoting pharmaceutical substitutes.
I’m sharing the full breakdown of this document below because the truth matters. The same system that criminalized patients was busy turning cannabis into a weapon of war. This is part of the longer story of suppression, gatekeeping, and injustice we are exposing together.
Read it, share it, and know: every signature on this petition pushes us closer to accountability.
Hasta pronto,
