Hola amigos!
I know it's been a long time since an update has gone out, and for that I apologize. That doesn't mean the work has stopped on this end tho, and I am excited to share with you some important updates.
For the last several years I have been assisting Alice O'Leary Randall in her "Project 50" campaign that is launching in the very near future (August 25th if I'm not mistaken). This means I have been transcribing files from her husband's court cases (US v Randall 1976, & Randall US 1978) and the work they did together afterward with the medical cannabis movement. The bulk of the archives I've had access to are now in the digital space, and let me tell you, the content is FIRE. There will be blog posts shared here as updates on a weekly basis going in to the details of Robert Randall's precedent setting case, the challenges/obstruction he faced then, and that we still are burdened by today.
You can find more information about Project 50 at Alice O'Leary Randall's website, or the IVLC Committee Blog which will be published here through this petition every Friday.
The last major thing I wanted to get on your radar, is the push we have been making at the state and federal levels. We have had great success in raising awareness of non-traditional methods addressing mental health issues in our community. Case in point is "Arizona Garden Month" that was just celebrated in April, 2025.
As always, thank you so much for the support y'all have provided over the 11 years that this petition has been active. With the newly digitized information from Bob Randall's case, we should be able to turn the volume up enough so that even DC can hear us from their sound proof offices. On that note, please share this content with as many people as you can think of within your network. Republican Party, Democratic Party, Independents, Greens, and everywhere in between.
We win when the truth gets told in public. Loudly. Unapologetically.
Hasta pronto,
-Rico
