Thank you all for your continued support!
I wanted to share the latest updates on our petition.
Our local representatives—Michelle Rowland (Federal Member for Greenway), Warren Kirby (State Member for Riverstone), and Moninder Singh (Local Councillor for Ward 1, Blacktown)—have been advocating on our behalf to the Blacktown Council.
The Council has informed us of their willingness to meet and discuss opening the toilet and lighting facilities. It’s inspiring to see our dedicated Yogis bringing candles, camping lights, and even using mobile flashlights to illuminate our sessions. This collective passion fuels our determination to do more and serve better, come rain, shine, or thunder.
Recently, we had an in-depth discussion with Hon. State MP Warren Kirby. Both he and Councillor Moninder Singh have assured us of their ongoing advocacy with Blacktown Council’s administration.
The Council recently reached out to me for a meeting. Unfortunately, I missed the first one due to work commitments. However, I am planning to attend a future meeting on an upcoming Friday or Monday, and I will keep you informed of any progress.
With winter approaching, we remain committed to lobbying for an indoor space for our practice during the three colder months. Once spring arrives, we will gladly return to our outdoor sessions.
Thank you once again for joining our 6 AM in-person practices, whether past or present. Your support keeps us motivated to serve, thrive, and remain humble.
Warm regards,
Vikas Parashuram Chirag
