Hello everyone!

The City Council of Jacksonville officially passed Ordinance 2025-0720, with a vote of 15-4. This means that funds will be set aside for negotiations for this project to come to Jacksonville! This is a big win!

Now, this is just the first step. If the City of Jacksonville wants to provide an incentive, that will have to go through another round of negotiations and legislation within City Council. That means that the encouragement for Film and TV incentives isn't over!

I've had such amazing feedback over the last few days regarding my video on TikTok that has reached an amazing group of Jacksonville/North Florida entertainment professionals and lovers. I was interviewed on News4Jax about the ordinance, which will be airing Sunday evening! I also have been in contact with many local professionals and business owners who want to curate a way for entertainment professionals to come together. 

I hope to keep you all informed on next steps, including an event for Jacksonville film & TV professionals in support of local productions, and ways to get involved in the community.
