New York State Senators and Assemblymen Support Corrections Officers

On Feb, 18, 2025, three N.Y. Senators and 16 NY assemblymen submitted an appeal to Governor Hochul and Commissioner Martuscello calling for them to negotiate with Corrections Officers and find solutions to the on-going safety concerns at state correctional facilities. 

Our Corrections Officers and supporting civilian staff are truly the unseen heroes of our community and play an absolutely essential role within the State's broader public safety institutions.
