The Issue

When the war began, my undergraduate studies were halted, but I refused to stop learning. I immediately leveraged my previous dental studies to provide clinical work, volunteering on the frontlines at Al-Razi Charity Medical Complex and Al-Aqsa Hospital. Each day, I provided emergency care, coming face-to-face with severe trauma and loss, profoundly impacting both me and the community I served.

This experience shifted my perspective entirely. I realized that offering physical care was only addressing half of the battle. The mental scars of conflict often run deeper than physical wounds, and I wanted to contribute more comprehensively to healing those who have suffered. Thus, my path changed direction, and I devoted myself to studying psychology.

This September, I wish to pursue my psychology studies at Glasgow University. There's an urgent need for trained psychologists who can understand and support communities afflicted by conflict.

However, the challenges I face are daunting. Moving to Glasgow as Palestinian requires a special need from the university for my tuition to be funded by the university. Your support comes as hope and a step closer to the dream of acquiring the skills necessary to make a difference.

As I stand on this opportunity, I am asking for more than just financial help. By signing this petition, you're showing support not only for my educational endeavor but for a mission of bringing healing to those who need it most.

Together, we can take action for education and healing. Join me in this journey, and help open doors to a future where I can continue to work for my community in frontline as a psychologist

Please sign this petition and help me make a meaningful impact.
