Since this petition kicked off, music parents continue to show up at every school board meeting. After a year of bringing data, expert testimony. lots of community members to show support, and heartfelt appeals from students, parents, and alumni, the District 208 administration has rejected our request to meet and search for creative solutions. 

In that year...

• There has been no movement on adding a net $15,000 to the budget to make the third music teacher a full-time employee.
• The school has added a $15,000 bowling team that no one has asked for. We fully support this and are happy for the students who benefited from having this team.
• The district rushed forward on the construction of a $2,000,000 commercial kitchen when more fiscally conservative options existed.

Now, it's time to vote. In the upcoming local election on April 1, 2025, there are five candidates running for three Board of Education seats. Meet the candidates at RBHS Music and Theatre Sponsors Candidate Forum on March 13, 2025, 7-8:30 pm at the Hollywood Community House, 3435 Hollywood Ave., Brookfield IL. All 5 candidates have been invited to share their views and answer questions.
