THANK YOU for supporting Media Arts as an official subject area!
We just reached 50 supporters!
Isn’t it amazing?! Media Arts (digital arts, multimedia) is NOT AN OFFICIAL SUBJECT AREA - anywhere in the United States!
I taught media arts for over 30 years as a visual arts and Career Technical teacher. I had about 5000 students. 95% of them:
- Didn’t know what multimedia was.
- Had never created any media - image, graphic design, animation, movie.
- Had never written a story!
- Had never analyzed a picture.
- Had never learned any media literacy.
I would estimate that at least 95% of US students will never have media arts instruction!
Media arts is the basis of our society’s communications and design forms! It’s how we even know we are on a planet with other nations! It is imperative that all students gain basic media arts literacies!
WE NEED YOUR HELP! Please get 2 or more people, friends, relatives, colleagues to sign this petition. And if you can do more, go to our website and sign-on to receive updates and support actual state legislation for media arts. And please Donate to our cause. www.mediaartsedu.org
THANKS AGAIN for your support!
