As most of you know, Madison's government approved spending $400,000 on a study to "review" the police. Most residents have expressed outrage during the past several months. This is not just speculation, either - an audit that produced letters from residents to alders, showed that most disapprove of this wasteful study. The study is demoralizing to Madison PD. And it's a complete waste of our hard-earned tax dollars. They're taking $400,000 from an emergency fund to study a force that has been nationally recognized, while the city is in massive debt. "Actual borrowing jumped from $44 million in 2007 to $87.6 million in 2016," per The Wisconsin State Journal. Water under the bridge.
