This petition holds a special place in my heart, as well as in the hearts of every Kurd and their supporters who have stood side by side with the Kurds and relied on them for their safety. In America, we are fortunate to have a voice and leaders who tirelessly work towards addressing our concerns and fighting for causes that are close to our hearts.
This petition is incredibly sensitive to me because of the long history of human rights violations, genocides, and the systematic deprivation of the Kurdish people's identity, language, and culture. Just imagine being part of a population of 45 million people and still not having a country to call your own. Imagine having vast oil reserves in your land, but being forced to go through the Iraqi government to sell it. And worst of all, imagine all the hardworking Kurdish individuals who serve and contribute to their communities, yet have to rely on Iraq to receive their rightful pay.
It is time for us to rise up against this injustice and bring stability, safety, and freedom to the Kurds. We cannot remain silent any longer while the Kurds continue to suffer. These loyal allies deserve our unwavering loyalty in return. We must come together, sign this petition, and spread it far and wide to all our friends and family. Additionally, let us take the extra step of writing to our congressmen, congresswomen, senators, and even the president to ensure that our voices are heard and action is taken.
Let us make this plea heart-wrenching, capturing the attention and support of all who read it. Together, we can make a difference and bring about the change that the Kurds so desperately need and deserve.
