If you are unsure about what to speak about the following is a simple outline:
Dear Na Ala Hele Advisory Council,
My name is [your name here] and I’m a local resident in the area who [describe yourself; where do you work, are you a parent, etc.].
I support Class 1 e-bike access wherever traditional bikes are allowed on Na Ala Hele Trails because I believe that e-bikes allow for all of our community members to get outside and enjoy the fun of bike riding.
Class 1 e-bike access on Na Ala Hele Trails is important to me because [add a personal anecdote here, see below for ideas].
Thank you for allowing me to participate in this public process.
How to provide an engaging and powerful public comment:
* Be prepared
* Be respectful
* Be concise
* Add personal anecdotes
* Describe your experience riding an e-bike. Why did you enjoy it? Why do you want to make sure others can have the same experience?
* Describe your experience of seeing other e-bike riders on the trail. Why was it positive?
* Do you know someone who has a disability or a health condition that would benefit from improved e-bike access? Do you yourself have a disability or a health condition? Describe this and why Class 1 e-bike access on Na Ala Hele trails would benefit you.
