COMMUNITY CONSULTATION QUESTIONS:

1. What is your connection to 2 Wingrove Street Alphington (the Site)? How do you use this space? Do you visit, run a business, socialize, or live close by?

2. What is your vision for the site?

3. Considering its background and limitations (i.e. it used to be a former landfill site and has contamination and other issues associated with its legacy and history), what do you think it could best be used for – in the long term?

4. Do you have any ideas for how the Site could generate revenue to benefit our diverse community?

SOME POINTS YOU COULD MENTION:

QUESTIONS 2 AND 3 – YOUR VISION FOR THE SITE, LONG-TERM

 - The transition to EVs is gathering momentum, but we need services in Darebin to support this.

 - Build the resilience of our community in adapting to climate change

 - This innovative and inspiring proposal fits with many policies and objectives in Council’s 5-year Plan as well as the Darebin Transport Strategy, EV Policy and Climate Emergency Plan.

 - Craig Bishop has abundant experience and expertise in this field – all he needs is support.

 - This site, opposite the train station and bus terminal, is perfect for an EV Hub, and could also service E-bikes which abound in this area.

 - EV hub patrons, while waiting for their cars, could visit other businesses on the site and generate revenue.

QUESTION 4 – HOW THE SITE COULD BENEFIT OUR DIVERSE COMMUNITY

 - Craig’s aim is to bring EVs and associated services within the reach of low- and middle-income earners.

 - Craig wants educate a new generation of EV mechanics from diverse backgrounds, especially including First Nation mechanics.

Right NOW is the optimal time for you to support Craig’s innovative proposal!

Thank you!
