Show's Over For Local Public TV in CT Without Action

If the Connecticut legislature does not support the funding of local public TV this session, they will make CT the first New England state to shut the show on the people’s channels – a first in history, a national news maker and all in favor of the ONE BILLION DOLLAR cable industry instead of local democracy and CT residents. All of the states surrounding Connecticut are making changes to save their Local Public Access channels. Maine, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New York and New Jersey have PASSED LEGISLATION and are fighting to pass legislation that protects the public TV channels.

Tell Connecticut Legislators to join other New England states and Support HB 5446 by going to www.DigitalEquityCT.com and hitting the email button at the top of the page. It only takes seconds to make a big difference.  Together, we can ensure that public access TV remains a vibrant and vital public service for residents of all ages, but if funding is eliminated, local public TV will be GONE in CT for good.
