Petition updateSupport Dan Duggan's family in their fight to overturn extradition decision500 days in NSW solitary confinement and more to come - case adjourned until April

The Duggans were back in court yesterday to ask for more time to prepare Dan’s case, after the US took Saffrine’s house and the family was forced to apply for Legal Aid.

The case was adjourned until 4 April to give the family a little more time, but now Dan has to spend longer in solitary confinement. There are no winners here.

Dan has already been in solitary for about 500 days with no Australian charges – a torture that no family should be forced to endure.

Saff was outside the court today with three of the Duggan kids, again asking for the Prime Minister and Attorney-General to use their powers to set Dan free.

Saff also talked about how ASIO’s media manipulation and cloak and dagger skulduggery has no place in a free country like Australia, where we pride ourselves on transparent government and the right to a fair hearing in court. It cannot stand.

Thanks to the supporters who made the effort to come out, including whistle-blower Jeff Morris.

There is an interesting account in The Guardian here:
