Dan’s case returns to the Downing Centre court in Sydney tomorrow, as this beautiful Australian family continues its gruelling fight for justice. It would be great to see supporters at the court.  If you can’t make it, please consider a donation to help them fight: https://freedanduggan.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/Donation-page.pdf

An Aussie citizen and father of six, Dan has been in maximum security isolation in a 2x4m cell for almost 500 days with no local charges, convictions or criminal background of any kind.

After watching her husband suffer and having her assets seized by the US Government, Dan’s wife Saffrine said: “Dan’s inhumane incarceration is not in line with the normal rule of law in Australia  because it falls under the Extradition Act. Similarly, our rights to sell or leverage my property to help fund our lawyers and feed our kids were lost under legislation that simply rubber stamps US court findings, despite significant errors in affidavits provided to the court.”

The case against Dan, an Australian citizen incarcerated Australia, is being run by the Attorney-General’s department on behalf of the US, using highly paid barristers funded by Australian taxpayers.
