Ginger Duggan turns 7 today … another birthday without her Dad. 

On the same day, her dad, Dan Duggan, marks 16 months locked in solitary confinement with no local charges … and Julian Assange makes a last pitch legal effort to avoid extradition to the US. 

In short, it is a dark and terrible day for Australian sovereignty. 

It should make us all question the value of Australian citizenship, and fear for the future of our children.
