When I visited Dan last Sunday his mental health was as bad as it's been for many months. This week a sociologist visited him - and gave him some coloured pencils -  Dan asked to see a professional. He was visited by a psychologist who brushed off his concerns, instead she gave him a yellow squeeze ball. When he asked for two more so he can practise his juggling - one of the things he does to try and stay sane -  she refused.
