FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The Uvalde Foundation For Kids/One In Five Foundation For Kids (Charity ID 88-3268749)

(National/Texas/Missouri)

In an update out of Texas, The Uvalde Foundation For Kids released Saturday morning, that it is confident charges will soon be filed in the case of the death of Conrad Ashcraft. The foundation, who launched an independent investigation into the case involving, "Poppy's Playhouse," which has since had its licensed revoked, has also presented a proposed bill to Missouri House Representatives, stated that it is clear based on its findings that there was, "Blatant disregard for the life of Conrad and extensive evidence pointing to the worker in question, methodically taking actions which directly resulted in the death of this precious child."

The case, according to foundation and local officials has been forwarded to the prosecutors office.

Founder and national director of the nonprofit, Daniel Chapin, released the following statement included in the release, also calling on the community to, "Allow justice to take it's course."

"Our foundation continues in our efforts to ensure justice is served in this case. We are confident that it is only a matter of time before justice is served. To those who are planning protests, we are asking you to refrain, in honor of the families explicit request and to give time for the system to work in this case. Make no mistake, however, should charges not be filed and we be proven wrong, the foundation will take the case to the highest state level possible, until the individual and the daycare responsible for failing Conrad are held accountable.

In the meantime, as we continue our work to present and pass, "Conrad's Law," including obviously receiving valuable input from Conrad's family as the bill progresses; to further ensure the safety of all Missouri children and moreso, forever engrave in the minds of "Missourians," who this young man was, should have become and the unplanned, tragic, yet powerful legacy he left behind."
