We did this! 1-0 positive vote at Council Yesterday—Thank you

Congrats to all of us. We made this work. Austin City Council did the right thing and approved this legislation to move forward with programmatic and structural implementation of our our Initiative.

I've been putting the number of signatures in the face of policy makers for sometime now....we hit 500, that was the goal. Then 1000 wasn't that far away, then 1500 and so forth. The folks who needed to know about this level of support have been made aware for months now. They paid attention.

Yesterday, our Initiative received full support from the Austin City Council. Thank you. Thank you. THANK YOU for support and signing our petition. It worked.
Our legislation passed and very soon I'll be forwarding to the City the final results of this petition. As a practical matter, being able to mention these numbers has been helpful along the way.

One last request before I close this out and send to the City—and the reason for sending it now to the City is that we want/need it to get entered into the official record with all items which were part of supporting this legislation, we would love to be able to round that number up to an even 3000, rather than 2900 and change.

Could you do just this last thing for us....see if someone in your network will sign on and help us get to 3000 signatures. The deal is done, but 3000 is a lovely number for us to have before it goes into the official record at City Hall.
