With the incredible amount of support from everyone who signed this petition, and local families who took this information to the County Meeting, the County has now not only agreed to this plan, but officially has a design team working to plan and facilitate the construction a multi-use Aquatic Center at the Premiere Sports Campus in Lakewood Ranch!

Commissioner Baugh announced yesterday that this facility will be focused on Competitive swimming. It will have 3 pools - a long course 50m pool, a 25m short course pool and a warmup pool. Ground breaking for this Aquatic Center is starting with the 50m pool and will be started by the end of 2022.

This is a gigantic win for every swimmer in Manatee County, for every team in this area, for the Region, State, and for our Country. The Premiere Sports Campus will soon be set up to host and support swim meets and championships for Local and National events.
