A brand-new dinosaur has been named from the Isle of Wight! Istiorachis, meaning “sail-spine,” was a medium-sized herbivore with a dramatic sail along its back and tail, roaming the Island 125 million years ago.
Discovered by local fossil hunter Nick Chase and recently described by Dr Jeremy Lockwood, Istiorachis is now proudly on display at Dinosaur Isle Museum in Sandown, adding another incredible chapter to our Island’s prehistoric story.
If you believe that this dinosaur needs a new home on the Isle of Wight then please sign and most importantly share the petition with as many people as you can.
