Still snag-prone? Petitioning Not Just for Air India anymore.

Hello Everyone! The good news - 1) The DGCA is opting full automation. (Relates to 3b in our petition of technological innovation/ upgrade) Hope this is implemented soon. Air India plans to induct 29 such carriers by March 2019, with 13 this very year. What we don't know - 1) Whether airlines are still flying the snag-prone A320s. 2) If 'Neo' & 'fuel efficient' (apart from really being fuel efficient, which is great!) is distracting us, while defunct crafts are perhaps being replaced but "only in batches", where they should "all" be immediately discontinued. 3) The few new A320 Neos are with - Air India, IndiGo and GoAir. 5 reported snags in PW engines used by budget carriers IndiGo and GoAir on their brand new A-320 Neos in just over a month. February 8: GoAir A-320 Neo engine which got this warning, developed the 2nd issue in 8 hours and then people in Dwarka, saw its engine on fire after taking off. "After that we have removed the 10-hour MEL and made it mandatory to attend to this issue without any delay," said a senior DGCA official.
