First, thank you for signing the petition about the 20mph on Fulwood Road back in 2023. In the process of campaigning for this, we learnt that the council's own self-imposed '20 mph strategy' blocked them from introducing 20mph on roads (like Fulwood) where the average speed is over 24mph, or on A- or B- or C- roads; which excludes almost all the roads where collisions happen or outside most schools. The Sheffield Council transport committee said they would produce a report updating their 20mph strategy in March 2024. They still haven't done this - two years later - using "staffing challenges" as the reason.
