In 2015, due to lack of opposition, this election was canceled. Trustee Area 1 incumbent Reg Bennett and Trustee Area 2 incumbent Robert "Bob" O'Donnell ran unopposed and were each appointed to another term.

In 2016, the school board requested the Riverside County Board of Supervisors to approve the election to occur in even-numbered years.  After the approval was received, the terms of the MUSD board members which would have expired in December 2017 are now extended to December 2018, and those seats will be contested in the November 2018 election rather than the November 2017 election. The board members whose seats would have expired in December 2019 will now serve until December 2020 if they complete their term, and the elections for those seats will be in November 2020 rather than in November 2019.

Remember, all of these trustees who sits on the panel are getting $3000 stipend plus full medical benefits that costs over $20,000 per trustee annually.

So, there will be no school board election until 2018.

Look at those people and see how long they have been sitting on panel:

Robert O’Donnell (District 2)  since November  1993 to 2004, then re-elected in 2006, 2011 and 2015. Now, service as President of the Board.

Reg Bennett (District 1), since December 2013 and again in 2015.

Ron Ulibarri (District 3),  since November 2008 and again in 2013.

Randall Freeman (District 4), since November 2008, then 2013.

Jerry Bowman (District 5), since August 2008, re-elected in 2013.

With all the unsounded decisions made by them and refusing to listen or working with parents, let’s start the recall process!
