While there is no denying that the city of Buffalo is undergoing a Renaissance, the extensive growth and rebirth, unfortunately, has not reached all people and neighborhoods.  Persistence Prep looks to change that narrative by providing a truly excellent, college preparatory education for the students and families of Buffalo. 

Proposed Lead Founder, Joelle Formato, is a proud Buffalonian who is currently a fellow with the national non-profit organization, Building Excellent Schools. This fellowship has allowed her to study the best practices of the highest-performing charter schools across the country.  Persistence Prep understands where the bar is set nationally, and will bring that same level of high expectations and achievement to Buffalo.
